I understand the light pink signifies the player has a shield and I think the pale blue is a heal check but I’ve seen so many different ones.
Like what on earth does this mean:

✭✭You're right about the damage shields.
Pale blue is heal absorption. That dark health bar is an unhealable ally--so they're in Pale Order, or using a vamp skill that prevents them from being healed by allies.
The offwhite glow ... is meant to be some type of health buff, but is currently bugged and showing all over the place.
(This is for the healthbar at the top of your UI--for groupmates or the ones over players' heads, dark blue is unhealable and light blue is heal absorption I believe.)

You wouldn’t happened to know what the black healthbar means in the screenshot I posted? I’m seeing that one everywhere

✭✭✭✭The dark red (or dark blue if you're in group with them and have healthbars showing on the character who's not highlighted) means they cannot be healed by external sources - they are either a vampire using Blood Frenzy or wearing the Ring of the Pale Order.
Pink shields on the health bar represent active damage shields.
Light blue shields on the health bar represent heal absorption effects - a character cannot be healed until the shield is healed out of.

Thanks for explaining, I was wondering about some of the colors and their meanings, too .

Ohhh so in my screenshot above he’s running pale order but is an enemy? I thought pale order is a dark purple though

"Unhealable" will show up differently depending on whether they are the targeted player or if it's an untargeted groupmate, in the same way that normal health bars are red for targeted and blue for groupmates.
Vanilla UI will also show unhealable groupmates with the darker red bar as well. It looks similar to the darker healthbar when a group member is out of range, but it's the same idea.

I am so confused.
The first day of Update 42, I was seeing people with black health bars with red edges, all over Vivec City.
Then I heard that that healing immunity was now displaying on health bars, and I assumed that was what I was seeing. Apparently a lot of people run Ring of the Pale Order?
Someone on UESP had a question about what healing immunity looked like in group frames - whether you see the other player's health bar decrease in size at all - and I didn't know so I grouped up with a friend to check. But it turned out TODAY that it doesn't matter whether he wears the Ring of Pale Order or not, his health bar looks the same?
I tried with and without addons, and in both Gamepad and keyboard/mouse UI. His health bar insists on being the normal red colour.
This is absolutely no use whatsoever for Healers who will continue to waste heals wondering why they won't target players! Is it bugged out already?
I did see a shield today on another player. The purple shield is quite apparent around the red health bar.
