The house is fabulous, much more spacious than we anticipated and the level walk to the water is amazing! The quiet cove was perfect for fishing and enjoying time at the dock. Everything was great, from the wetbar in the loft to the beatiful porch. We also found the outdoor lighitng was perfect, made walks to the fire and/or dock more comfortable.

We had an amazing week at Wake Up Grateful. The property was tucked at the end of a cove so it was peaceful and had plenty of wildlife. Our older children came to visit for the weekend and the upstairs was the perfect place for them to have their own space. We also have family that lives near by so they were able to come down for dinners and enjoy the lake with us. There is so much open space in the home that we never felt cramped or on top of one another. The home was exactly as described and we can’t wait to go back next year.

Location and lot were beautiful. The dock was perfect and our boat was well protected by being so far back in the cove. Hot tub stopped working on day 2 and was never fixed over the course of our stay, which is unfortunate. A tech did come out to address the issue, but it never got hot again. The house was OK - cleanliness wasn't stellar and there was a mouse issue that was being addressed through multiple traps placed throughout the house. Hopefully this gets remedied before the next guests arrive. Overall, I would rent this house again despite the issues we experienced. It's a beautiful place and with the exception of the hot tub and mice issues, it met our needs.

Our housekeeper strives to provide the bets level of cleaning possible, however we are human and sometimes we do miss our mark. In the future please do not hesitate to call into our office and we will quickly send out a housekeeper to remedy the issues. This is a lovely house that has been fully restored (probably the only sentence of this review you will publish if at all). The layout is a little weird with the third bathroom upstairs. The master bedroom lacks a closet, and none of the bedrooms has a dresser. Otherwise it's a great house to hang out in, with a nice view of the lake. Be aware that it is on well and septic, so you need electricity for water and the pressure is never very good. And it is a little off the beaten path, pretty far from restaurants and such in Deep Creek, and off of semi-paved roads. We would consider staying here again, and bring some heavy bug spray.

Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay overall; a large majority of homes in the area are on well water and it's a very sensible choice given the rural location of Deep Creek Lake. We apologize the water pressure was not up to your expectations; we can certainly take a look to see if anything can be done. As well, we'll pass along your suggestions to the homeowners about offering dressers or other storage spaces for clothes in the bedrooms. There are different "experiences" with homes you can rent throughout Deep Creek Lake and it sounds like while a more "away from it all" vacation is coveted by some, this may not be what you're looking for - we'd be happy to assist you with finding a different home experience for your stay in the future! I don’t really want to give a great glowing review for fear it will be booked and we will never be able to go back hahaha. This house is set up perfectly. The kitchen is very very efficient and has everything you need. The fridge is awesome and plenty of room for food for a large family. Plenty of room for kids especially in the loft. The kids thought they had their own house. Having a dock is perfect and if anyone has kids that have never kayaked or paddle board…this is the perfect place for them to learn. There is almost zero boat traffic in this area and it’s just absolutely so relaxing and peaceful. To top it all off you have the perfect vacation home with the view, great temps and a hot tub. Pure Heaven. It does take about 23-26 minutes to get into town ( like Bill’s, Brenda’s or Walmart ) so plan accordingly, however it’s a beautiful drive and you see more of the area than if you were already in town.

Great place for our family, would definitely stay there again. Just note floors are not flat and could be a tripping hazard.

Loved it!! I’ve never been to Maryland before and choosing your place to stay fit is perfect! Loved the views, morning coffee on the deck or boat dock. Loved the wildlife… deer… etc… Would highly recommend and would love to stay again

So glad I found this place. Perfect house on the lake for a family getaway. The lake was beautiful. We loved sitting in the hot tub looking at the lake. Has a big yard to run around in. Lots of space in the house. Huge back porch with amazing views. The only issue we had was no bath tubs for the youngest to take baths in but we made the showers work. I have stayed at many houses at deep creek and this is by far our favorite.
